Guide To Writing Your Own Grocery Shopping List

Last updated on

There is no “one list fits all”, so here’s a guide on how to write your own shopping list according to your needs.

If you’re planning to go on a juice fast/feast, what should be included in your shopping list?  It is difficult to give you a straight forward list and say “Here, go buy this and that“. There is no “one list fits all” so you’ll need to do a little homework before you go to the market.

Each individual family has different needs, different produce available at your respective markets, different budget, different type of juicers (which means different yield), different amount of available time for juicing, etc. Each cart would contain different produce. It depends on WHERE you are, what are AVAILABLE, and what you can buy according to your BUDGET.

If you are a veteran juicer, you would already know what you might need for the cleanse. If you’re new to this, know that we should be including a lot of GREENS in our juices during a juice cleanse.

Here’s a simple guide chart on how to make tasty green juices. Take a look or print it out to have an idea what you can include in your juices.

Buy what’s available where you are. If you’re quite new to juicing and want to make your juices to be more palatable, consider at least 2 carrots and 2 green apples for every glass of juice, plus all the other greens. And lemons!

Based on that list which gives you the measurement for one portion, do a little math and WRITE your own shopping list of what you might need. Consider how much available TIME you have to make the juice, and/or how many glasses you think you can drink a day (possibly 3 or 4 times a day if doing a juice cleanse). If there is more than one person drinking the juices with you, multiply your requirements by that number.

You may not get the amounts correct the first time, but once you get used to the amount your juicer produce, you’ll know how to shop better the next time.
