Anti-Inflammatory Juice for Relieving Arthritis Pain and Gout

Last updated on

This is another one of my favorites. It’s a great drink to make for anti-inflammatory. Although some of the ingredients may taste “acidic”, they are really alkaline-forming foods and help to reduce body acidity.

Recipe (makes one portion):

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey (warmed)

Pineapple juice contains Bromelain and is a good anti-inflammatory food, but drink only freshly squeezed juice. Canned or frozen pineapple juices have lost this pain-reducing enzymes.

Ginger contains gingerol and anti-oxidant properties that help relieve various inflammatory disorders like gout, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. It provides substantial relief in pain caused by inflammation and help decrease swelling and morning stiffness

Note:  Pineapple may clog up some juicer when juicing as it is very fibrous. Remove skin, cut into smaller pieces for juicing.
