Golden Milk Recipe

Ingredients For Turmeric Paste:

  • ¼ cup of turmeric powder
  • a pinch of ground black pepper
  • ½ cup of filtered water

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a small sauce pan and mix well. Turn the heat to medium high and stir constantly until the mixture becomes a thick paste. This does not take long so don’t walk away from the pan.

Let this mixture cool and then keep it in a small jar in the fridge.

Ingredients For Making Golden Milk:

  • 1 cup of almond milk (hemp, coconut or organic goats milk are also good options)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon of turmeric paste
  • Add raw honey to desired taste (when drink is cooler)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients, except the honey, in a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium. While heating make sure to stir constantly and do not allow the mixture to boil. Add honey to desired taste. Use a frother (drink mixer) to froth your drink … Enjoy!

    Hello, my husband and I like to use Curcumin 2000x by Bell. It’s a supplement that has turmeric in it. It can be taken three times a day and has piperine in it already.

  3. I’ve tried but can’t develop a taste for this drink or for turmeric. Any suggestions on making the golden milk more palatable? Thanks.

    1. Hi Donna, it might take a few tries to get used to the taste/smell of turmeric if you’re using it for the first time. So use just a pinch the first time and gradually increase up to 1/4 teaspoon. Another way of doing this is to add it to any hot beverage that you like! 🙂
