Homemade BBQ Sauce
There are quite a few ingredients needed to make your own homemade BBQ sauce, but the actual process is simple. Gather all of the following ingredients and then stir the contents together.
Ingredients:
- 1½ cups of organic coconut sugar or jagghery
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1¼ cups of ketchup (homemade, if you have)
- ½ cup of red wine vinegar
- ½ a cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ teaspoons of kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons of paprika
- 2½ teaspoons of finely-ground mustard seeds
Method:
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until they are thoroughly mixed and the sugar has dissolved. A blender may be useful to blend the ingredients into your desired smooth texture.
This recipe should make about 4 cups of BBQ sauce. You can use the sauce immediately or store it in your fridge for later use.
