Green Juice (Blood Cleansing and Detoxifying)
- 2 green apples
- 1 rib celery
- 6-7 leaves Romaine lettuce
- 1 bunch spinach
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1/4 slice lemon with peel
- 1 inch ginger with peel (optional)
Wash and cut your vegetables. Cut the apples to sizes that can fit into your juicer chute. Roll the leafy vegetables into a tight bundle and feed into your juicer, alternating with the green apples. If you’re including ginger, put it in halfway through your juicing so that it doesn’t get “lost” as small pieces of produce usually do when fed at the end.
Green juices are highly detoxifying and cleansing to the blood. This combination is very beneficial for anemic sufferers, due to its high content of chlorophyll. Each ingredient in this recipe has its own unique health benefits. Mixing them makes the juice a nutrient power house that is very potent.
Makes about 400 ml worth of very potent green juice. If you’re not familiar with drinking green juices, take only about 250ml (~8oz) at a time. Too much green juices for a toxic body may cause dizziness, headaches or nausea.
A masticating juicer is best for extracting green leafy vegetables. It produces high juice yield.
