Much has been said about HIGH blood pressure. What about LOW blood pressure?
You may have the symptoms of low blood pressure but when you exercise and make eating healthy a lifestyle, LOW blood pressure will not cause you much trouble and may eventually regulate itself. How do I know? Because I used to have low blood pressure which is now normalized.
Important to know: Anemia and dehydration both contribute to low blood pressure. Build your hemoglobin level and get hydrated to raise your LOW blood pressure.
Eliminate from your diet as much as possible:
Processed foods, dairy products, flour and sugar products, processed meat products, excessive carbohydrates, caffeine and alcohol. If you’re on long-term medication, work with your doctor to reduce dosage as medication could also possibly contribute to your low blood pressure.
Include in your diet:
More fruits and vegetables (best to take green juices and beetroot for their blood-building properties) and adequate drinking water. Herbs such as turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, coriander leaves and parsley can help regulate your blood pressure. Use small amounts in all your juices, but test your tolerance level before doing so.
Ginger-Turmeric Tea to Raise Low Blood Pressure
This is another way to add ginger-turmeric into your regular diet to raise your LOW blood pressure.
Use a masticating juicer to extract this juice:
- 1 tsp ginger root juice (or use 1/4 tsp ginger powder)
- 1 tsp turmeric juice (or use 1/4 tsp turmeric powder)
- 1/2 a lemon (without peel)
- 1-2 tbsp raw honey or to taste
- A pinch of cinnamon powder
- Mix all the above in ~500ml (half quart) hot water and sip warm.
This ginger-turmeric tea is also anti-inflammatory and you may find some pains gone after drinking. Can be consumed also if you have a bad cold that won’t go away.
Note: Turmeric can stain so be careful not to spill on your clothes. If you’re pregnant or on medication, refrain from taking this tea.
