– Wash all ingredients with cool water (give them a good rinse to remove any dirt, chemical/pesticides/etc.) – Cut the pear and apples into fifths or sixths – Cut the cucumber in half (length wide) – Leave the celery as-is
Rinsing your fruits and vegetables wash away dirt, dust, and other gunk that may be on the vegetables. Not to mention any chemicals used during production/transportation, such as pesticides and herbicides (among others).
We recommend cutting your fruit into fifths or sixths, and your celery into halves (lengthwise). You can cut your celery up into quarters and then small strips (as we did for the above photo), but this step isn’t necessary for most juicers.
Each juicer is a little different so be sure to follow the instructions and best-practices called out in your owners manual. For the Omega VRT330 we’re using here, that means letting the juicer run for about 10 seconds prior to beginning juicing.
The flavor is slightly tangy and refreshing, with the green apple and pear providing a bit of tartness and sweetness to the overall flavor. It is not excessively sweet- perfect for an early morning jump-start or a mid-day boost!
