Regardless of the type of mayo you choose, most of them are made with unhealthy sweeteners and starches. Making your own homemade mayo is incredibly easy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large organic egg
  • ½ lemon or lime (juiced)
  • 1 pinch of seasalt
  • 1 cup of extra light virgin olive oil

Method:

Crack the egg and place it in a wide jar. The jar should be wide enough to allow you to insert an immersion blender. Add the juice from the lemon or lime, as well as the salt, then add the 1 cup of olive oil. Pour into the blender and blend for about 20 seconds, or until smooth. Keep the jar sealed and store it in your fridge.
