How To Make This Delicious Turmeric Juice To Prevent and Shrink Tumors

Last updated on

One new study recently published in the Journal of Anticancer Research has shown that the extract liposomal curcumin of turmeric may be an effective alternative to chemotherapy treatment in those suffering a lethal pancreatic cancer.

Researchers from the Department of Molecular Biology and Immunology and the Institute for Cancer Research, University of North Texas Health Science Center conducted the study through in vitro with mice.

What Is Liposomal Curcumin?

The researchers found antitumor effects of the liposomal curcumin, the primarily polyphenol in turmeric.

This extract has been studied through extensive research to prove its ability in killing cancer cells. There have been 1500 studies to date and the extract has been linked to control over 100 distinct cancer types.

The Advances for Pancreatic Cancer

The numbers may be shocking, as pancreatic cancer is well known to respond poorly to conventional treatment. The American Cancer Society states that there is only a 14% 5-year survival rate for those with Stage IA cancers. The number drops lower to 1% for those with Stage IV.

The American Cancer Society also reveals that even if chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy are successful at shrinking the tumor and the patient survives over 5 years, there is an extreme likelihood of recurrence of the cancer.

However, with this new study, the turmeric extract had shown a 42% suppression of tumor growth when compared to control subjects.

The researchers concluded, “These data clearly establish the efficacy of liposomal curcumin in reducing human pancreatic cancer growth in the examined model. The therapeutic curcumin-based effects, with no limiting side-effects, suggest that liposomal curcumin may be beneficial in patients with pancreatic cancer.”

Health Benefits of Turmeric Root

Turmeric is already known for its ability to fight lethal cancers, and hopefully this new research will show just how useful its powerful extracts can be. It has already been used for centuries in both Ayurveda and Chinese medicines.

It should only be a matter of time before turmeric extracts are incorporated into medicinal spices and treatments.

Turmeric is also a natural liver detoxifier and cleanses the kidney. It speeds up metabolism and aids in weight management, giving it its superfood title.

Some studies have even shown turmeric to heal and alleviate symptoms of depression, damaged skin, and arthritis.

Gain The Benefits Of Turmeric

Add turmeric to your lifestyle and watch as it shrinks your waistline and prevents ailments. You can add to it almost any dish as it works as a great spice.
