Dragonfruit (a.k.a. pittaya) is a nutrient-packed tropical fruit, rich with anti-oxidants and an excellent source of dietary fiber. It is rich in phosphorus, iron and vitamins B1, B2 and B3. The black seeds are edible and contain healthy, monounsaturated fats, protein and calcium.
This recipe was made using my masticating juicer. It’s a bit slushy and tastes so good! The white-flesh dragonfruit has a rather bland taste (with a tinge of sour), and not so sweet, so is a good combo with tangerines.
Recipe (makes one portion):
- 1 large white-flesh dragonfruit
- 2 tangerines
