2-Ingredient Colon Cleansing Mixture To Flush Out Fecal Waste From Your Gut

Last updated on

Due to many years of faulty eating—poor choices of food, poor eating habits and wrong food combination—the small intestines have become somewhat inefficient due to the foods clogging the internal wall lining. This happens to most people whose dietary is lacking in fiber (from eating flour-products, meat, processed foods, prolonged medication, alcohol, etc.)

Over the years, these “leftover (undigested) foods” begin to rot and form encrustation in the intestines. This is one of the causes of bad breath—it is the odor from this rotting encrustation.

One of the functions of the small intestines is to absorb nutrients. But as the internal wall is now lined with encrustation, absorption has become inefficient. Many health problems follow when the intestines’ functions are compromised.

Warning Signs That You Need To Do A Colon Cleanse

Chronic constipation, weak metabolism, diabetes, excessive or insufficient weight gain, kidney and liver diseases, hearing and vision problems, skin, hair and nail problems, as well as many other chronic diseases, ranging from arthritis to cancer are just some of the signs that your gastro intestines are not clean.

By eliminating the mucus, fecal deposits and parasites from the intestines you can prevent and remedy many health conditions.

It is for this reason that a gastrointestinal cleanse is recommended before doing any juice cleanse so that absorption of nutrients is increased, making healing so much easier.

Daily Enemas

The following procedure works very well when you also incorporate daily enemas to help completely remove the softened fecal matters during this detox. It is essential to have an enema especially if you have chronic constipation.

Consuming 1-3 tablespoons of flaxseed powder for three weeks can completely clean the intestines from the mucus and fecal deposits, or parasites, while fully preserving the intestinal microflora!

This method provides rapid weight normalization and fat burning. It has a positive effect on the regulation of lipid metabolism. Flaxseed powder absorbs and eliminate the toxins from the body and reduce the blood cholesterol level.

If you have any of these symptoms caused by poor gut health, this colon cleanse will be beneficial for you.

Instead of breakfast, consume this mixture every morning for 3 weeks:

Week 1: 1 tablespoon of flaxseed powder and 100 ml of kefir
Week 2: 2 tablespoons of flaxseed powder and 100 ml of kefir
Week 3: 3 tablespoons of flaxseed powder and 150 ml of kefir

If flaxseed powder is not available in your local store, buy some flaxseed and grind it finely. Use only organic flaxseed. This is one of the best ground, organic flaxseed that I’ve used for this purpose.

Why These Ingredients Are Used

1. Flaxseed Powder

Whole flaxseeds may be difficult to be broken down sufficiently in the digestive system, so it needs a little help by pre-grinding them to powder form in order that most of its nutrients may be extracted and absorbed.

The most part of the ground flaxseed is insoluble fiber that is important for the use of cleansing out old fecal matters. Some of the health benefits of flaxseed are that it:

  • Helps to balance hormones for prevention of diseases
  • Protects against cardiovascular disease
  • Promotes weight loss
  • Strengthens the digestive system
  • Supports the immune system
  • Has antiviral and antibacterial properties
  • Provides essential fatty acids and the B vitamins
  • Promotes cellular health

2. Kefir

Kefir has a similar texture to yogurt albeit a little thinner, yet taste rich and creamy. It has a distinctive tangy taste like yogurt, is a probiotic-rich drink that contains better and more bacterial strains that are excellent for building gut health.

Kefir contains beneficial bacteria that are powerful in destroying pathogenic organisms in the body. Furthermore, it is much easier to digest and suitable for individuals who have digestive disorders. More often than not, individuals who are lactose-intolerant are able to consume kefir with no issues.

Kefir is one of the few foods that has vitamin D. It also contains other key nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, and various B vitamins. It also is a strong antibacterial food. It helps lower the risk of osteoporosis and is a good source of calcium for strengthening your bones.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

When doing this cleanse, make sure to drink at least 2 quarts/liters of water a day. More, if you weigh more than about 120 lbs (~54kg). See this page to determine how much you need daily.

The best results are obtained if you drink 8 ounces of water with 1 teaspoon raw honey water and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar stirred in, immediately after taking the mixture every morning. This antibacterial drink calms the digestive system when doing a colon cleanse.

Cautionary Note:

  • Do not do this cleanse if you have cancer or severe health issues, are pregnant or nursing, just underwent a surgery or feeling unwell.
  • If your regular diet is lacking in fiber, this cleanse may initially cause mild bloating and gas. Make sure you drink plenty of water as well to keep the bowel moving. Not drinking sufficient water may cause constipation.
  • Kefir is made from a fermentation process, so it’s generally safe for individuals who may be lactose-intolerant. In case you cannot find, or prefer a non-dairy recipe, you may use this apple cider vinegar colon cleanse which works just as well.
  • Some individuals may find the need to use the washroom more regularly when going on a colon cleanse. Naturally, as your body is moving out old fecal matters, it would be handy to have easy access to a washroom when doing this detox.

After doing this cleanse the first time, you will see a great improvement on your health. Absorption of nutrients from your food will greatly increase as well. Repeat this procedure once or twice a year as you deem fit.

Note:

This 2-ingredient cleanse is great for those times when you need extra dietary fiber for regular bowel movements, but may be insufficient if you wish to do a detox to heal a chronic problem. In which case, please follow the full digestive system cleanse guide on this page.

    1. Hi Melissa, thank you for asking. It is not advisable for pregnant or nursing women to do any form of detox and cleansing, so I’d say to please avoid doing this colon-cleanse when pregnant. However, if you’re planning to get pregnant, this cleanse is beneficial for preparing your body for a healthy baby, but stop the cleanse immediately when you find out that you’re pregnant.

  1. What if you don’t have kefir? Can you make your own flaxseed Flour by grinding flaxseed in a food processor, until it is like flour? Will UN- homogenized milk work, from cows not given shots? It is pasteurized though.

    1. Sara Ding

Yes, you can grind your flaxseed till it is like flour. This is what is suggested here. However, kefir is suggested due to its healthy bacteria strains that are beneficial, and even necessary when doing a colon-cleanse like this.

  2. Hi Sara,
I don’t do any dairy so what can I use as a substitution for the kefir? Also, you mention drinking raw honey water with apple cider vinegar. When am I suppose to drink it and for what period of time? I look forward to hearing back so I can get started asap.
    Thank you!
    Christina

    1. Hi Christina, thank you for asking. I have updated the article above to answer your question for an alternative to kefir. Please see Cautionary Note. So, if you’re taking the alternative recipe, how to drink the honey water with apple cider vinegar is stated on the other page. All the best and do feedback how it goes for you!

  3. What if you are lactose intolerant? I don’t think I can have kefir. Any substitute?

    1. Hi Britt, I have updated the article above to answer your question for if you are lactose-intolerant. Please see Cautionary Note.

  4. Lisandra McGrath

Hi there – I’d love to do this, but I’m a vegan and the thought of using kefir grosses me out. Is there a nondairy alternative I could use? Thanks in advance.

    1. Hi Lisandra, I have updated the article above to answer your question for an alternative to kefir. Please see Cautionary Note.

    1. Hi Elizabeth, I have updated the article above to answer your question for an alternative to dairy. Please see Cautionary Note.

  5. Is ground flaxseed the same as flaxseed flour? I mix it with yogurt and hempseeds each morning and I’ve been nursing for over two years.

    1. Sara Ding

Yes, they are the same, or sometimes even called flaxseed meal. If you’ve been eating it for two years without any problem, then please continue. It is so good and provide rich nutrients to your baby. The caution for pregnant and nursing women here is if they are not accustomed to doing this procedure as it can be detoxifying.

  6. How soon after drinking this mixture can you eat food? The instruction above say to drink this INSTEAD of breakfast.

    1. Sara Ding

Hi Amanda, after drinking this mixture and you still wish to eat food, wait for about 15-30 minutes before you consume solid food. Hope this helps! 🙂 You can also drink this mixture 2 hours AFTER food. That works as well.

    1. Sara Ding

On the second or third day, you will notice very easy and smooth bowel movements. If your stools are floating, that is a good sign too. All the best!

  7. Rey Martinez

I’m very new to this and never heard of kefir before this. One of my local grocery stores only sells kefir smoothie but I’m not certain if that’s the same as what you listed in the article. Any suggestions? Any other advice for newbies? I’m a healthy 46 yo male but overweight and just looking to get back my energy and get in shape.

    1. Hi Rey, on this page above, there is a suggestion on how to use a colon cleansing mixture from apple cider vinegar, honey and psyllium husk (not using kefir). You can do that instead. There are plenty advice for a newbie. Please do click around on this website to learn more about juicing, eating and living healthy. All the best!

  8. I want to do the colon cleanse. Can I have lunch and dinner doing this cleanse?

    1. Yes, you can have lunch and dinner when doing this cleanse, but take lighter lunch and dinner so as not to burden your digestive system during cleansing week. Have fun!

  9. Hi just wondering can you mix it with anything like fruit or protein powder into a smoothie? Thanks

    1. Sara Ding

It is not advisable to mix the fiber drink with other beverages as it has to be drunk immediately per the recipe given. This fiber drink expands and thickens very quickly, and delay in drinking may make it difficult to drink.

  10. Carol Borba

If it expands and thickens quickly what does that do to your insides ?

    1. It expands to clean out the walls of your small intestines, like a broom, yet gentle and safe.

  11. Hi I am very interested I doing this, actually I need to do this. I have a duodenal ulcer, and was tested positive for H Pylori bacteria and my symptoms are not getting better. So I am just double checking it’s safety for me, after reading your caution.
    Waiting for your advice.

  12. Hi Sara,

Thank you so much for this information! I was wondering, if I do the fiber cleanse, can i still ot solid foods? Or do you recommend the fiber cleanse combined with a juice cleanse?

    Thanks!
    Reyna

  13. Hi Sara! Can Inuse whole ground flaxseed meal or flaxseed meal fro Trader Joe’s?

    Thank you!
    Reyna

  14. Hello I would like to know with this cleanse or the other one are we eating anything or juicing anything, or is it a straight cleanses with no eating at all?

  15. Richard Carson

Why shouldn’t you do this internal cleanse if you have Cancer? Surely it’s healthy and not counter productive ?
